Did some preliminary assembly work on the chassis. The swingarm received new brass bushings, the steering bearings were replaced with the tapered-roller variety, and the swingarm was reinstalled "dry" with no grease or real pressure put on the bolt since I'll be ordering a new one soon. Heard a story about one of those breaking at highway speed, and it's not something I want to take a chance on. I couldn't resist going for a "Mock-Up" by loose fitting the seat and tank just so I could sit on it for the first time with my feet on the pegs. I'm already accumulating a substantial list of parts for my return trip to the powder coater.
